Help for Creators

You can monetize PaterNostr with Lightning, Stripe, or both. Pick what fits — there’s no requirement to use both.

1. Enable creator features

Go to Settings → Become a Creator and confirm your password.

2. Connect a payment rail

• Lightning: add a Lightning address (e.g. you@getalby.com) in Settings → Creator Payouts. Subscriber sats are forwarded to that address minus the platform fee.
• Stripe: connect a Stripe account from Settings → Card Payments. Stripe will verify your identity; this can take a few minutes to a day. Once verified, you can offer card-priced tiers.

3. Create tiers

Open Manage Tiers from your Dashboard. Each tier can have a sats price, a USD price, or both. Free tiers (price 0) are also valid — useful for follow-only audiences.

4. Publish

Use New Post or New Podcast from the Dashboard. Use the Paywall button in the editor to mark where the free preview ends — everything after is subscriber-only.

Fees

• Lightning: platform takes 7% of each sats payment; the rest is forwarded to your Lightning address.
• Stripe: configured as a destination charge; the platform fee is applied via Stripe’s application_fee_percent.
