Up until today, every PaterNostr creator’s home page lived behind a URL like this:

Try fitting that on a business card.
From today, you can pick a short handle, and your work lives at a URL anyone can actually type and remember:
paternostr.cc/@yourname
What to do
Open Settings (click your avatar, then Settings). You’ll see a new Your handle card — pick a name, hit Claim handle, done.
That’s your URL now. Articles live there too — paternostr.cc/@yourname/article-slug. Old links keep working: anyone with the long npub bookmark gets sent to your new short URL
automatically. Nothing breaks.
Bonus: a verified Nostr ID
The same handle becomes your Nostr identifier — yourname@paternostr.cc. Paste that into your Nostr profile (Damus, Amethyst, Primal, any client) and your followers see a verification checkmark next to your name. It’s the Nostr equivalent of a blue tick, except it’s free and doesn’t require asking anyone for permission.
One thing to know
Changing your handle later breaks links people have already shared. So treat it like a Twitter handle: short, memorable, and one you’d happily print on a card.
